John Conley serves as editor of The Privacy Report blog. His practice focuses on advising clients with strategic planning related to all aspects of intellectual property and privacy law, both in the United States and internationally. Many of John's recent projects have involved companies, universities and organizations conducting health and other scientific research. He has frequently appeared as an expert witness on issues of intellectual property and legal procedure.
In addition to being of counsel at Robinson Bradshaw, John is William Rand Kenan, Jr. Professor of Law at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he teaches intellectual property, biotechnology and the law, scientific evidence and civil procedure.
As an attorney and anthropologist, John publishes and lectures widely on such topics as intellectual property and privacy law and policy, the anthropological study of the American legal system, and the culture of business, finance, and science.
